Was up at Regis on this past Tuesday and noticed that they just put in a new disc golf course on campus. It is a nine hole course with some really cool tone-poles. It is located on the East side of O'Connell Hall. Basically north of the fieldhouse. It plays behind the baseball field some, around a new dorm, etc.

There is a nice metal course sign by the #1 tone-pole. Maps are also available from the sign. The tee-offs are dirt/grass. They are marked with a large piece of flagstone with the number painted on them. The tone-poles have numbers on them as well.

I sure wish this course was there when I went to school. I'm tring to organize a league, tourney etc. for Regis staff and students. In case you wondered I shot -12. I got -7 on my last round. #2 is the hardest hole due to being a nice dogleg around a dorm. Pretty tough. Also tring to see if I can teach a 1 credit class on disc golf. Some schools do this. My brother actually took 3 credits of disc golf up at The University of Montana.

I wouldn't take a trip to Regis expecting the bomb of courses. It's a nice challenge however. Plus they have fields that you can practice on. I actually went out on the baseball field with a couple of current players and practiced parking them over the fence. The players were amazed. But then when they found who I was they expected it. Considering I'm in the Regis baseball record books for hitting!! Boy, I miss hitting that ball. It was good to see the disc fly over the fence however. Twisted Evil

Hope you all have a chance to check it out.

C U Later,
Koz
