I've played casually for three years and had never heard of the (unwritten) rule until I hit two aces in the same round. (Westminster #11 & #16). Never been paid but money was not the reason I was trying to get close to the basket, it was winning the round. Getting the aces was just a great bonus. That being said, the best way new and less experienced players learn is by people like you. That is, if you don't come off sounding quit so condescending.
And to those present on that day, I'm not looking for your money. Just hope I'm there when you hit yours. |

I had know Idea that there was a unwritten rule like that. I think it's cool. I'm going to start making it a point to mention it and do it with the people I play with. Or maybe just a six pack instead of $5,
and a Tall Boy instead of the dollar, or 40 0z. |

Have a few more to add to my list.
#1 @ Blue Heron two more times.
#2 @ Blue Heron again
#8 @ Shaffer Park
#12 @ Ghost Town. Probably the best ace I have ever hit. Straight in a homeade basket with a THUMBER!!!
#2 @ Lighthouse

I have an Ace on #3 @ Ken Caryl. Only one...
I do, however, have a BLACK ACE at Badlands.
Teeing off from 14 (C position) and I hit 12 (14s A position) with a skip off the sidewalk in front of the pump house. ~450'
